The Nutfield History Group has been recognised by the villagers as well as people from around the world.

It is surprising how many organisations (V&A, BBC, National Archives at Kew, Surrey History Centre, East Surrey History Museum and the local press and Surrey Libraries) have become interested in the group’s work.

Since Richard Deacon started it in 1978 the group has grown with popular coach trips to historic places, lectures, research, genealogical data 1800-2000 and a Nutfield history picture archive containing about 700 images.
